Frequently asked questions

Question 1

What exactly is uCompose?

Accepted Answer

uCompose is an AI website platform. You manage your site in plain language — describe a change, see it in a live preview, publish with one click. Hosting, backup and SSL are included in the subscription.

Question 2

Is there a setup fee?

Accepted Answer

Only if you choose "we build it": a one-time build fee covers the full creation of your site (€495 for new customers, €395 for existing Universal.cloud customers). If you start blank yourself, there's no setup fee — just the monthly subscription.

Question 3

Is hosting included?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every plan includes fast & secure hosting, daily backup and an SSL certificate. No separate hosting bill.

Question 4

Can I use my own domain?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Connect a domain you already own, or register one right inside uCompose. A built-in wizard guides you through going live step by step — and if you already have email on the domain, we keep it safely intact. SSL is provisioned automatically, so your site goes live with the padlock.

Question 5

What counts as an edit?

Accepted Answer

"Edits" is a fair-use guideline. A small text change counts lightly; a rich news post with photos weighs more. You always see a usage meter in uCompose, and you can switch plans anytime.

Question 6

Can I upgrade later?

Accepted Answer

Always. You can move between Start, Plus and Pro whenever you like — the change is prorated automatically.

Question 7

How is this different from WordPress?

Accepted Answer

Your site runs on clean, modern technology — no CMS, no plugins. That means no security patches, no plugin costs, better performance and stronger SEO.
